Untitled: Ch 2Untitled
Justin sat in an armchair gazing out the window, but not really seeing anything. He was lost in thought-his mind wandering to the events of the last few days.
The trio stood on a field not far from the river. Justin looked sideways at Fina. She was looking dead ahead and stood stiffly. He could feel her nervousness, though she was doing everything she could to conceal it.
"They're coming," Lareth said quietly. His hand fell to his sword and Justin saw him tense. "That's more than expected Do we want to go through with this?" He grimaced. "I believe we may have been given false information "
"We can end this," Fina hissed.
"I just wanted to make sure we were still in agreement."
"This seems needlessly foolish, and suicidal," Justin said quietly. "We have time to leave we should take advantage of it."
"No," Fina glared furiously at Justin.
"We may still be able
Pain. That was the first thing he knew. And, then voices. Words they were slowly entering his brain, and even more slowly making any kind of sense.
"Careful, now " A woman-seemed familiar
"I know " A man-did he know these voices?
"I-I can't believe "
He tried to open his eyes, but as soon as they were opened even a crack, light pierced them painfully. He shut them tightly.
"He's waking up!" The woman again.
"Lareth," the man said tentatively.
Lareth that was his name, wasn't it? He made an attempt at saying something, anything really, but his throat was parched and painful.
"You should dim the light," the woman suggested.
There was silence, and then the man spoke. "Lareth? Are you awake?"
Lareth tried opening his eyes again. He was lying on a bed in a dim room. A man and woman were standing on each side. Beyond that he knew nothing.
The History of Guy: Ch.3The History of Count Gailardia
Gailardia hurried down the hall, his head bowed when he suddenly ran into someone. He looked up and saw a tall man in blue with longish brown hair. The man looked down at him with a raised eyebrow. Gailardia swallowed hard. The man had red eyes behind those glasses.
"Um I-I'm sorry."
"Not at all. I suppose I should have been keeping a better eye out for charging children." He sounded amused and not at all annoyed. Gailardia relaxed somewhat. "Might I ask where you are going in such a hurry?" The man appeared to be examining him. He frowned slightly. "You look upset."
Gailardia stared at his feet. "I'm okay " Gailardia looked around at the floor feeling awkward. "I'm just looking for something to do, is all my friend, Van he well he something's being done to him, I think, so I can't play with
The History of Guy: Ch.TwoThe History of Count Gailardia
Gailardia slouched his way through the corridors. He was bored and wanted to visit Van despite Mary's warnings. He stopped abruptly and turned back the way he came. If no one knew, he wouldn't get into trouble. He took a side hall and walked quickly to the training room that Van often occupied when he wasn't being trained in his duties. He pushed open the door and grinned with delight when he saw his friend sitting on a bench at the opposite end. He bounded over.
Van looked up. His dark hair hung around his face and he looked sick.
"Va-an. Please don't call me that. You're my friend." Gailardia's grin slid off his face. "You look sick. You're not sick, are you?"
Van shook his head. "N-no No." He said more firmly. Gailardia's grin came back.
"Hey, do you think yo

"Master Gailardia!" Gailardia Galan Gardios spun around guiltily from his position at the door. A maid stood behind him looking disapprovingly at the blue eyed son of the Count.
"Lady Mary wants to see you, Sir." The maid told him.
Gailardia sighed with relief when it seemed he wasn't about to get a lecture. Of course if Mary was told It wasn't like he was hearing very much anyway. The door was too thick.
Gailardia followed the maid into the gardens where his sister Mary waited.
"He was listening in on the discussions again," the maid told Mary quietly. Mary sighed. "Thank you, Cherise. You may go." The maid curtsied and left the gardens.
Mary examined her younger brother. He was a sweet looking boy-blonde hair tha
A New Battle: Chapter ThirteenA New Battle
Jade heard Peony groan and turned to face him.
"Ugh, I feel lousy " Peony sat up and peered at Jade. "What happened?"
"Ion is dead."
"Ion? That was Ion?" Peony blinked hard. "Wait, but Ion died Oh." Peony's brain finally caught up. "That was a replica?"
"And the others?"
"Some are dead, some are still alive. Mina and Layla survived."
"Those two?" Peony asked pointing to them. He looked back at Jade and frowned. "Something looks different. Where are your glasses?"
"There and I believe over there."
"Huh?" Peony looked bleary and confused. "I think I'm still out of it " Peony tried to wake himself up more. "So, you were able to stop him? What did he want anyway?"
"Yes. He wanted my help. Seeing as I wasn't giving it, he decided he wanted revenge instead."
A New Battle: Chapter TwelveA New Battle
Jade was in trouble. Layla stood in front of Ion on one side and on the other soldiers were advancing on him. Ion gazed at him sadly. "I really, really did not want things to end like this. But, at least I can fulfil a part of my heart's desire-vengeance for Vandesdelca. Is there anything more you have to say to me father? I think you at least deserve a final word."
"O countless falling stars, come forth! Meteor Storm!" Flaming rocks tumbled down crushing several of the soldiers. The soldiers that were left surrounded Jade.
"Oh, father. You are doing nothing to save yourself. Layla, would you please finish this?" Ion turned away. "I would prefer not to witness this."
"With pleasure." Layla joined the soldiers.
Jade blocked the incoming sword stroke. It was all he was able to do-defend himself while
Cooking TroublesThe Good, The Bad, and The Burned
They were gathered around a campfire. Tear passed plates around and Luke went to get his food. He looked in the pot.
"Again?! All we ever have is pasta. Can't you make anything else Tear?"
Tear sighed. "This what we have the ingredients for. And, it's good for you."
"I am so sick of pasta " Luke grumbled.
"But, it's good pasta," Anise piped up. "You're a pretty good cook, Tear."
"Not really. It's just something I needed to learn." Tear settled with her own plate, looking slightly embarrassed.
"But it's all we ever have."
"Luke," Natalia scolded. "If you're going to complain, perhaps you should cook tomorrow."
"Yeah," Anise agreed. "Let's see what you can do, Luke."
"Why should I have to cook?" Luke scowled.
Guy grimaced. "I really don't think it's a good idea "
