What I did know was that I had to figure out a way to open that damn spellbook or I wouldn't make the journey. Lugging the thing around and not being able to use it was infuriating. Sure, whacking a few enemies about the head is useful sometimes, but I---"Rhett, would you make yourself useful and call out one of those fire spells or something!?" Mathias growled, his sword clashing with a monster's claws.Sighing once again, I stood drawn from my thoughts and called out one of the only destructive spells I know. A blast of fire erupted around the monster and I nearly fell over. The monster was badly burned, and stunned but still alive, that is until Mathias used the opportunity to chop its head off. He looked around for more monsters, but that had been the last one much to my relief. "Good job!
